Western North Carolina

IT support that
drives out to you.

Managed IT, networks and WiFi, security cameras, and access control for small businesses across Western North Carolina. You get one person who knows your building, your equipment, and what you’ve already tried.

Aaron Caudle · Hendersonville, NC

On-site, not just remote

Cameras, cabling, and network gear are physical. Some problems only get solved by standing in the room with the equipment.

One point of accountability

You won’t get handed round a ticket queue to whoever is free. You deal with the person who scoped the work and remembers why it was built that way.

Vendor-side experience

I’ve spent years on the other side of these jobs, managing installers, quotes, and contracts. The scope gets read closely and the date gets held to.

Services

What I do

Managed IT

Ongoing IT support and maintenance

Monitoring, patching, backup checks, and someone to call when something breaks. Most of it is dull maintenance nobody notices, which is rather the point.

  • System and network monitoring
  • Patching and updates
  • Backup verification
  • Helpdesk and troubleshooting
Networks

Network design, WiFi, and firewalls

Wired and wireless builds sized for the building you have, including the firewall and internet edge. A survey up front is what keeps dead zones from turning up after the install.

  • Firewall and internet edge
  • Switching and cabling coordination
  • Business WiFi design and survey
  • VLANs and guest network separation
Cameras

Security camera systems

IP camera systems specified, installed, and configured so they still work in six months. The recorder gets sized for the number of days of footage you need, and remote viewing gets set up so it doesn’t need a support call every month.

  • Site walk and camera placement
  • IP cameras and NVR/recorder
  • Retention sizing and storage
  • Remote and mobile viewing
Access

Access control and electronic locks

Door access and electronic lock systems, from specifying the hardware through install coordination and credential setup. Managing vendor installs is a large part of my background.

  • Access control specification
  • Electronic lock installs
  • Credential and schedule setup
  • Install and vendor coordination
Cloud

Microsoft 365 and cloud services

Email, file storage, identity, and the licensing decisions behind them. Done properly, adding or removing a staff account takes two minutes. Done badly, you end up with a tenant nobody wants to touch.

  • Microsoft 365 setup and migration
  • Email, identity, and MFA
  • File storage and sharing
  • Cloud backup
Projects

Projects, moves, and refreshes

Office moves, hardware refreshes, and system migrations, scoped and scheduled so the business keeps working while the work happens. Somebody has to sequence it and chase the vendors.

  • Office moves and buildouts
  • Hardware refresh cycles
  • System and platform migrations
  • Vendor and contract management

Cameras, specifically

Most camera systems fail on the boring details.

Rarely the cameras themselves. It’s the parts nobody asks about at quoting time. Whether the recorder holds enough days of footage to be useful when you finally need it. Whether the placement survives leaf cover in summer and headlight glare at night. Whether remote viewing still works six months after the installer left.

I answer those questions before quoting. And I’ll tell you when four cameras in the right places beat the eight-camera package.

Questions

The things people ask first

Who will I be dealing with?

Aaron Caudle. The same person scopes the work, does it, and answers the phone afterward.

Which areas do you cover?

Hendersonville, Asheville, Brevard, Waynesville, Black Mountain, Fletcher and Arden, Flat Rock, and the nearby Upstate South Carolina line.

Do you handle cameras as well as IT support?

Both, along with door access and electronic locks. That work usually gets split between an IT company and a separate low-voltage installer, and the seams between them are where things go wrong.

Can you take on a one-off project, or is it ongoing support only?

Either one. Office moves, hardware refreshes, and camera installs are quoted as projects. Ongoing monitoring and support is separate work you can add or leave.

Will you work with the equipment we already have?

Where it makes sense, yes. Part of the first walkthrough is sorting out what is worth keeping from what is costing you more in downtime than it would cost to replace.

Do you work on site or remotely?

Both, and the on-site half matters. Cameras, cabling, and network gear are physical, so some problems only get solved in the room.

How do I get a quote?

Call (828) 490-7720 or email aaron@wncit.pro and describe the situation. If it is a camera or network job, the next step is usually a site walk.

Tell me what isn’t working.

A camera system to quote, a network that keeps dropping, support you’ve been meaning to sort out. Describe the situation and I’ll tell you what it takes to fix.
